Duties:
- Lead and supervise daily activities of field crews to ensure efficient production
- Execute work according to project plans, specifications, and direction from the Project Manager
- Coordinate labor, equipment, and materials to meet schedule and productivity goals
- Serve as the primary point of contact between field crews and the Project Manager
- Read and interpret blueprints, plans, and grade stakes
- Enforce safety policies and ensure proper PPE use
- Monitor work quality and ensure tasks are completed to company and client standards
- Train, mentor, and provide direction to laborers and equipment operators
- Assist with layout, site preparation, and sequencing of work activities
- Track daily progress, quantities, and crew productivity
- Identify and communicate field issues, delays, or changes to the Project Manager
- Perform light equipment operation or hands-on work as needed
Qualifications:
- Minimum 3-years’ experience as a Foreman/field manager.
- Experience operating heavy equipment including excavator, loader, skid steer, and backhoe.
- Demolition and dirt-moving experience;
- Interest and ability to interact with clients and project teams;
- Strong safety record and QA/QC skills;
- Excellent computer skills, including proficiency with MS Office, GPS, construction estimating and scheduling software;
- Excellent technical writing and communication skills
- Ability to lift 80 pounds.
- Must pass background check.
- Ability to pass random drug and alcohol tests.
Additional preferred qualifications include:
- Advanced degree in related field;
- PE/PMP or other professional license or registration;

The Construction Superintendent serves as the primary field leader for environmental and construction projects, including work at occupied residential and commercial properties. Working with the Project Manager, the Superintendent turns approved plans into daily assignments, directs crews and specialty subcontractors, and verifies that work is safe, complete and ready for client acceptance. The right candidate is a practical problem solver who can coordinate several work locations, communicate respectfully with occupants, and maintain clear field records. Flexibility and support for other Olympus field services and emergency response projects are part of the role.
Duties:
- Lead daily field operations, supervise crew leads and technicians, and coordinate specialty subcontractors across multiple work locations.
- Develop daily assignments and weekly lookahead schedules with the Project Manager; confirm property access, approved layouts, permits, materials and trade availability before mobilizing crews.
- Sequence concrete repairs, sealing, crawlspace membrane work, piping, ventilation equipment, electrical connections and restoration with qualified trades.
- Conduct pre-work walkthroughs, document existing conditions, identify utility conflicts and protect occupants, furnishings, finishes and access routes.
- Lead daily safety planning and enforce controls for concrete cutting and dust, crawlspaces, ladders and roof access, electrical hazards and work around the public.
- Read plans and specifications, verify field dimensions and workmanship, and coordinate required inspections before work is covered.
- Oversee installation checks, leak and smoke testing, equipment startup and alarm checks with qualified personnel; correct deficiencies and complete punch lists.
- Track labor by activity, installed quantities, material use, production and delays; provide accurate daily reports, photographs, field sketches and closeout records.
- Recognize conditions outside the approved scope, protect the work area, and obtain direction through the Project Manager before proceeding with affected work.
- Coordinate respectfully with property occupants within the project communication plan; protect confidential information and refer scope or technical commitments to the Project Manager.
- Train and mentor field personnel, coordinate material deliveries and tools, and leave each work location clean, safe and secure at the end of the day.
- Perform limited hands-on work as needed while maintaining supervision of active crews; support other Olympus construction and emergency response work as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Degree in construction management, civil engineering or a related field, or equivalent technical training and relevant project management experience.
- Relevant field leadership experience in environmental remediation, residential construction, commercial renovation or civil construction; equivalent technical training and experience are welcome.
- Experience supervising crews and specialty subcontractors, coordinating work sequences and completing work to schedule and quality requirements.
- Ability to read plans and specifications, assess field conditions and solve practical construction problems.
- Strong safety record, quality control skills and attention to protecting occupied properties.
- Ability to maintain accurate daily reports, labor and quantity records, photographs and field sketches using Microsoft Office and mobile field tools.
- Clear communication, organizational and supervisory skills, with the ability to work effectively with clients, occupants and project teams.
- Ability to work regularly from Billings and visit active work locations; willingness to travel and adjust hours as projects require.
Preferred experience and training:
- Work in occupied homes or buildings, including coordination of small construction assignments and specialty trades.
- Radon or vapor mitigation, ventilation systems, piping, crawlspace encapsulation, concrete repair, waterproofing or building restoration.
- Prevailing-wage projects, accurate labor classification records and coordination of subcontractor field documentation.

The mechanic will be responsible for ongoing preventative maintenance and repairs on Olympus' growing fleet of large and small equipment.
Duties:
- Basic maintenance and repairs on heavy equipment and hydraulics (i.e. excavators, front-end loaders, dozers, etc.);
- Normal vehicle interval services on fleet trucks (oil, lube, filters, inspections);
- Ability to work on small engines;
- Ability to troubleshoot equipment issues;
- Ability and willingness to travel to job sites;
